Welcome to Hope Haven!

It's 2022!
Here's the tea!

Hi friends!

We are so appreciative of everyone's love, support, and interest in the Sanctuary!

GUESS WHAT?! We have been nominated as one of Pittsburgh's 10 BEST GUIDED TOURS by the Pittsburgh City Paper!  What a cool honor! There's a lot of great tours in the 'Burgh so we are very excited to be mentioned.

Know what would be EVEN BETTER?

If we WON!!

This distinction would display our Sanctuary to so many new people who may never have heard of us. THAT would mean we could share our amazing animals with them and spread our mission of compassion.

Would you help us?

All you have to do is CLICK HERE to VOTE for us in the "Best Of" City Paper awards before the end of August. Easy Peasy and it would mean so much!  Thanks!

Our FARM TOUR season is under way and tours are SO MUCH FUN!  Tours are primarily on Sundays and we are offering mostly morning tours during the hot weather months because the animals are more perky when it's cool and fresh. Come watch Wyatt the turkey strut his stuff for you, snuggle Bradford the kune kune piglet, brush Boaz the mini-donkey, and meet Rigby the infamous emu!!

For more info and tour tickets please visit our Tours and Events tab.

Wanna volunteer?

We are working on developing an effective volunteer program, but it is challenging since we do not have full-time staff available to work with volunteers. Currently we are looking for interested, reliable individuals able to commit two shifts a week at the farm. The minimum age requirement of 18 years old. Coming soon we have a new volunteer application on our Volunteer page.

We are also looking for a BIGGER HOME!!!

Can you help us find a larger piece of property to expand the Sanctuary? We want to save more lives and strengthen our commitment to YOU by offering more on-site events and programs. We are working with a wonderful realtor but today's market is tough and the more eyes and ears we have out there the better! If you know of any farms for sale with these qualities, PLEASE contact Karen @ 412-366-1187:

* 20 acres or more

* Preferably with barns, outbuildings, fencing, and pond

* House(s) on site

* Located within 20-30 minutes of Wexford, PA

Much love and hugs,

Karen and the Haven animals

Hope Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit farm animal sanctuary nestled in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. Our mission is to rescue neglected pigs, goats, sheep, llama, donkey, alpaca, emu, and all farm birds. These animals have been surrendered at local animal shelters, confiscated by local humane agents and police, or saved from factory farms. They now live out their lives with comfortable housing, nutritious food, and companionship from others of their own kind. They also receive endless love and affection from the human components of the sanctuary!

Hope Haven is also a resource to raise public awareness about the plight of animals raised for human use. Here at the farm we promote a cruelty-free, plant-based lifestyle. Rather than focusing on the horrors and cruelty inherent in factory farming we want to showcase the individuality and personality of farm animals. Our hope is that when people realize these animals are sentient beings deserving of compassion they will make up their own minds to respect life and adopt a cruelty-free lifestyle.

Meet the animals

If you like what you see please donate to help these ambassadors for farm animals everywhere. We appreciate everything you do to help animals, spread compassion, and make this a more joyful world to live in. Thank you!
